I
knew I needed help with my obsession and fast. I arrived at the clinic and was
greeted by Dr. Leal's assistant JoAnn. Now I sat in front of Dr. Leal who was
reading my case file from another clinic that had failed to help me. He looked
at me and smiled.
"Can you help me?" I asked.
"Yes, I believe so. Come with me," he said. We went into another office. He instructed me to sit down.
"What are we doing here?" I asked.
"In
this room you and your therapist will discuss your obsession and you
will learn to accept it, control it or destroy it. Are you ready?".
"Yes."
He walked over to a door and opened it. To my surprise the therapist was none other than Miguel Bain himself. He walked into the room and over to me. "I'll leave you two alone to work it out," Dr. Leal said as he left the room.
"Well?" Miguel said.
"Well what?".
"I'm here to help you with your little problem."
"Yeah, right." He moved closer and pulled me to him.
"What are you doing?" I said.
"I either have to accept you, control you or destroy you."
"Control
or destroy me, no way. You are going to have to accept me,
querida."
"Maybe I will, maybe I won't."
"You will. You will never be rid of me."
"Yes I will." He kissed me passionately. I tried too push him away. We began to struggle.
"Oh a fighter! I like it!" he said. His grip became tighter and I fought even more. I felt his breath on my neck and I heard his raspy sound of his breathing. I began to weaken. I knew he was right. We looked into each other's eyes.
"Say it," he said.
"No I can't."
"Yes you can. Say it for me," he whispered heavily in my ear.
"Since I can't control or destroy you, then I will accept you."
"Very good, Sweetie." He had a cocky smile of victory on his face as he kissed me again. Dr. Leal came into the room. "Well how did it go? Any progress?" he asked.
"Some progress, but it will take a few more private sessions," Miguel said.
"I agree," I said. Dr. Leal smiled.
Miguel and I walked out hand in hand. I swore secretly to myself that one day I would not only conquer this obsession of Miguel, but I would conquer and possibly learn to control Miguel himself.
We'll see.
