We arrived in Las Vegas in the early morning hours, in an attempt to try and stay ahead of any reporters who may have heard about the press conference from the night before. The plane landed and as we went through the terminal we looked around for any signs of either Roxanne or Bobby. Tony held me by the arm as we walked through the airport.
"There you are!" Bobby said. Bobby ran towards us and led us out to the limousine that awaited us. We got in and drove to the hotel.
"Where's Roxs?" I asked.
"She's either sleep or getting things ready for your arrival," Bobby said.
"What time is it?" Bobby looked at his watch.
"It's 6:00 am."
Tony then adjusted his watch.
"Tony, as soon as Angel is in the hotel room with Roxs we need to start checking out the performance area."
"Why? Is there something strange about it?" Tony asked.
"Not really, but I need you to give it the once-over."
"No problem."
We arrived at the hotel awhile later and the manager of the hotel greeted us. "Hello Angel, it's nice to see you again," Ryan said. We shook hands.
"Hello Ryan, how are you?" I said.
"I'm fine. Welcome back. I hope your stay will be memorable."
"I'm sure it will be." Ryan looked at one of the bellboy's and motioned for him to come over.
"Yes sir?" the bellboy said.
"I want you to help with their luggage."
"Yes sir."
"I will talk to you later Ryan," I said.
"Alright and once again welcome back."
"Thank you."
We headed it to the room, while the bellboy got our luggage. We arrived at the room a few minutes later. We went inside and were greeted by the smell of bacon and eggs.
"Mmm, that's a wonderful welcome," I said. Roxanne walked over and hugged me.
"You're here!" she said.
"Yup, I am."
"How was the flight?"
"Smooth and quiet. How are things here?" Tony said.
"Things here are ready to go. Are you hungry?"
"Starving now that I smell the bacon," I said.
We sat down and ate. A knock came at the door and Tony got up and answered it. "I have your luggage sir," the bellboy said.
"Please put them in the bedroom," Tony said.
The bellboy put the luggage in the bedroom and came back out. Bobby stood up and walked toward him, he handed him a twenty-dollar bill.
"Oh no sir I couldn't take it," he said.
"Oh yes you can so take it," Bobby said.
He took the bill from Bobby. To everyone's surprise the bellboy kept standing there staring at me. Tony looked at him.
"Is there anything else?" Tony asked.
"Oh no sir, I'm sorry. Thanks again."
Tony walked him to the door and shut the door behind him.
"He kind of gave me the creeps," Roxanne said.
"Why?" I asked.
"Didn't you see the way he was staring at you?"
"I think I've kind of gotten use to it."
Tony and Bobby looked at each other. "Well we've got work to do, so we will see you later," Bobby said.
"Okay, besides Angel has a few interviews to do this morning," Roxanne said.
"Okay then we'll see you both later," Tony said.
We looked at each other and then they left.
"What time is the first interview?" I asked.
Roxanne looked at her watch. "In two hours."
"Good, that gives me enough for a quick nap. Walk me up in an hour okay?"
"You got it."
I went into the bedroom and fell asleep. Meanwhile, Bobby and Tony were walking around in the backstage area.
"Tony, can I ask you something?" Bobby said.
"Sure."
"Did that bellboy seem a little strange to you?"
"You mean the staring at Angel?"
"Yeah."
"Well like Roxs said, it was a little creepy. Why don't you run a background check on him just to be on the safe side."
"Good idea."
While Bobby did the background check, I did the interviews that were set up for me to do. It was about 11:00 am when Tony and Bobby headed back to the room.
"Did you get any results on the background check?" Tony asked.
"No not yet, it's going to be a couple of hours before we know anything."
"Why so long?"
"Well I had to get manager to give me the information that I needed and then I had to get the police to run the check, so they will get it to us in a couple of hours."
"Well, I hope it's sooner that a couple of hours."
They arrived at the room awhile later. "So how did the interviews go?" Bobby asked.
"Pretty good, I think," I said.
"How did the backstage check go?" Roxanne asked.
"Good, everything looks good for the performance tomorrow night," Tony said.
"Can I go and see what the dressing room looks like?" I asked.
"Sure, I'll take you there."
"We'll be right back."
Tony and I left and went downstairs to the back stage area. I stood on the side of the stage and looked at it. Tony stood by my side and put his arm around my shoulder.
"What's wrong Angel?"
"This stage is quite big isn't it?"
"Is that a problem?"
"Not really, its just looks a little scary, but I'll get over it."
"Yes, you will be just fine. Come on, let's go and check out the dressing room."
We walked to the dressing room; Tony kept looking around and making sure that things were safe. We arrived at the dressing room and went inside; I looked around and couldn't believe how nice it was.
"This is something else!" I said.
"Yes, it is," Tony answered. He walked over to me and took me in his arms.
"I meant the dressing room," I said.
"I didn't."
He pulled me towards him and kissed me. I was looking at the bathroom when Bobby and Roxanne came in.
"Oh geezs, this is nice!" Roxanne said.
I came out of the bathroom. "Isn't it, though," I said.
"Hey Tony, I think we should talk to the rest of the hotel's security team," Bobby said.
"Sounds like a good idea. Let's go," Tony said.
"We'll be back."
"Okay," Roxanne said.
They left leaving us alone checking out the room. As Tony and Bobby walked down the hall Bobby motioned to Tony to follow him into a near by room. Tony followed.
"What's going on?" Tony asked.
"I got the background check from the police on the bellboy." Bobby handed the report to Tony. Tony read it.
"I don't trust this guy," Tony said.
"I have the same feeling, but this is the information that really stuck out."
"What information?"
Tony kept reading and when he got to the part that Bobby was talking about he looked at him.
"Oh shit."
"I know what you mean. It seems that he has been in the towns that Angel was each time she received a note."
Tony starting thinking about something.
"Bobby, was the concert that Angel gave in LA the night we met video taped?"
"Yes, why?"
"Get a copy of it."
"Why?"
"I need to see it."
"I don't understand?"
"It just might answer a question that I have."
